CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2026 Updates
Release notes

The July 2026 Update for CorelDRAW® Graphics Suite 2026 (v27.1) includes feature enhancements, as well as performance and stability fixes for several customer-reported issues.

Generative AI tools and features

  • The new Generate with AI dialog box accelerates the workflow for creating AI images and manipulating existing ones by putting key generative AI controls and information at your fingertips. You can quickly access it using a new menu command (File > Quick AI Generate) or the new AI Generate button on the Home screen in CorelDRAW Web.
  • In CorelDRAW, CorelDRAW Web and Corel PHOTO-PAINT, settings for the Style and Color palette options in the AI Generate docker/inspector are now independent of one another. This allows users to easily maintain one set of options for creating images and another for manipulating existing ones.
  • In CorelDRAW Web, the new Share feedback button in the Generate AI docker is always at your fingertips, so you can share suggestions about our generative AI tools anytime an idea strikes you.
  • In Corel PHOTO-PAINT, selecting an object from a group of overlapping objects to use as a reference image in the AI Generate docker/inspector works as expected.

CorelDRAW Web

  • It's now easier to find specific fonts. The Font list box now displays typefaces on one level, then all fonts in that family in a flyout.
  • You can export drawings to the AutoCAD Drawing Interchange Format (DXF) or AutoCAD Drawing Database (DWG) formats.
  • Large DWG, DXF or DOCX files now load as expected when imported.
  • The What's new message window now displays the first time the app is launched, providing details about the latest features in that release.
  • A new Quick Tutorial gives you a concise walkthrough of new generative AI features. In just a couple of minutes, you'll be guided step-by-step through generating and remixing AI images.

Background removal

  • When a bitmap is sent to Corel PHOTO-PAINT on Windows from CorelDRAW for editing (Edit > Bitmaps) and has its background removed (Object > Remove Background), it displays as expected when work is resumed in CorelDRAW.
  • After removing the background from a bitmap (Bitmaps > Remove Background) in CorelDRAW or CorelDRAW Web, the bounding box now resizes as expected to the reduced sized of the bitmap object.

Corel Cloud

  • Enhanced search capabilities in Corel Cloud deliver more reliable results, ensuring that users can quickly locate vector assets, templates, learning content, and more.
  • Issues experienced when signing in to Corel Cloud from CorelDRAW Web with passwords containing special characters have been resolved.
  • Performance improvements ensure that files saved to Corel Cloud open faster than ever.

Performance and stability

  • In CorelDRAW and CorelDRAW Web, some files containing a large number of objects or styles open faster.
  • In CorelDRAW and CorelDRAW Web, page tabs display as expected when working with documents with high page counts.
  • When exporting a legacy CDR file from CorelDRAW on Windows to the Adobe Illustrator (AI) format, all content displays as expected in the resulting file.
  • The update also includes fixes for issues some customers experienced when:
    • importing files in CorelDRAW that contain Painterly brushstrokes, especially within a PowerClip object
    • scrolling in Objects docker in CorelDRAW on Windows when the active file contains a large number of objects
    • working with CorelDRAW on a Windows system using graphics hardware or drivers with inconsistent OpenCV support
    • changing settings in the Print style list box in the Print dialog box when using CorelDRAW or Corel PHOTO-PAINT on a Windows system
    • changing settings in list boxes in the Export to JPEG or Export to PNG dialog boxes when using CorelDRAW or Corel PHOTO-PAINT on a Windows system
    • opening multiple images in Corel PHOTO-PAINT on Windows when Real-Time Stylus support is enabled
    • launching CorelDRAW on a Windows system while using a pen tablet, clicking away from the application, then returning to CorelDRAW
    • importing a PDF or SVG file containing lines or curves comprised of segments in CorelDRAW on Windows
    • editing, transforming, or changing the magnification level of PowerClip objects, then scrolling in Objects docker while object thumbnails are rendering in CorelDRAW on Windows
    • reordering page tabs in CorelDRAW or CorelDRAW Web
    • canceling a font preview in the Font List box before the preview is completed in CorelDRAW or Corel PHOTO-PAINT on a Windows system
