Why CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2026 keeps artists in control

It’s no understatement to say that AI has disrupted the way many of us work. And for those in creative fields, it’s had a greater impact.

We understand the feeling, and we built a new version of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite to balance the efficiency of AI with the creativity and artistry of the human mind.

This release centers on the idea of Artist Intelligence: Using AI to support exploration and ideation while keeping you, the designer, firmly in the driver’s seat.

Turn ideas into images with AI Generate

In the latest release, you’ll find a brand-new docker/inspector: AI Generate. This handy tool gives you all the resources you’ll need to create original, commercially licensed images from text prompts in CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT.

Start from scratch? Add a reference image? Remix existing artwork? The choice—and the power—is yours.

Plus, you can adapt the images your software creates to fit your style. You can choose from preset styles and color palettes, and you have full flexibility to edit results in CorelDRAW afterward.

Here’s a look at how it works:

Manipulate images faster with AI’s help

Time adds up quickly when you’re working on finicky projects like removing and replacing backgrounds—especially if you’re trimming around clothing and hair.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2026 tackles familiar challenges like this in two ways:

  1. A new AI-powered background remover

This feature just needs a single click—no manual selection needed. It instantaneously identifies foreground subjects in your image and removes the background for you.

It’s great for trimming around fine details like hair and fabric fibers so transparent or replaced backgrounds look clean and natural.

  2. AI-powered masking capabilities

This feature in Corel PHOTO-PAINT uses AI to select subjects and create professional-grade masks for you. And don’t worry: You can also refine selections if needed, so the mask is exactly what you want.

Run generative AI functions with AI credits

With the addition of AI tools, you’ll have access to AI credits, which you’ll need to run generative AI functions in CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT. Perpetually licensed versions will come with a one-time balance of 2,000 credits, and subscribers and maintenance customers will receive 2,000 free credits every month to use on generative AI tools in CorelDRAW.

Of course, more AI credits are available if you need them, but this monthly allowance will help subscribers and maintenance users keep creative work stay on track!
